Adventure

Adventure.

Seriously, I love that word; its so exciting. Almost magical, brings a sense of wonder to life.

It’s almost nostalgic to me. Takes me back to being 6 years old again. As children, we find adventure in everything. Climbing tress, or riding a bike, while pretending you’re someplace far off a place all your own.
It brings magic with it. In these moments were transported to a place only existing in our imagination. A place where day dreams become reality and the impossible happens.

Adventure.

The more I see of the world, the more I crave this stepping into a new land; or stepping into a familiar land with new faces be my side. It’s an adventure.
It becomes the pace where dreams and declarations meet reality. Where the impossible happens.
It’s a place where you don’t transport yourself to a far off place because you’re living in the world of your wildest dreams.

Adventure.

The places of your wildest dreams may not be what you expected. In reality it may not be of your wildest dreams in a any physical sense. But it still is that place because the feelings are the same.
It’s not always perfect. Its never glamorous. But it is always beautiful. Sometimes the beauty can only be found in hindsight, but no doubt it’s there.

“Adventure is a path. Real adventure – self-determined, self-motivated, often risky – forces you to have firsthand encounters with the world. The world the way it is, not the way you imagine it. Your body will collide with the earth and you will bear witness. In this way you will be compelled to grapple with the limitless kindness and bottomless cruelty of humankind – and perhaps realize that you yourself are capable of both. This will change you. Nothing will ever again be black-and-white.” – Mark Jenkins
